Searching for...

No doubt that summer finally is here! Well, at least where I live. And what comes with summer is that beautiful summer tan that not only makes you feel good inside, but really gives the skin a glow (pale skin is pretty too, so if you prefer keeping it that way, do!). I'm slowly working on my tan, not to rush it (health risks, such as skin cancer, aren't worth it). But I do want to look fresh even now. So what I need is a bronzer.
But I'm very picky when it comes to bronzers. I wouldn't wear any super-glittery bronzing powder on my face. My skin is oily, so I have large pores, and I don't want them to show up even more than naturally.
Can someone give me advice on which bronzer I should pick, or just tell me which one you use (with or without glitter in it)? I've seen a few ones without glitter in them, but they were super expensive. I don't know if it's worth the money. Maybe I'll have to wait until I get my real tan instead.

Clarins body lotion

Hi!
I know I wrote a post about two or three weeks ago about my Body Shop body butters, but lately I've been searching for something lighter, as summer's here. And then I saw this: Clarins' Eau Tranquility Moisturizing Body Lotion. It smells wonderfully, but it's so expensive: $38 (or 31.10 €). I wonder if it's really worth it, I don't think so, but please comment below if you have tried it, or want to try it, and say what you thought of it!

My favorite perfume

Summer is finally here!
I don't know, I love the winter season, but somehow it's a relief when I finally can get my summer-dresses out of the closet. But not only am I glad to no wear heavy boots no more, I'm also happy to start wearing lighter perfumes again.
My favorite summer scent is Marc Jacobs' Splash Sobert in Grapefruit. It is just great. Most perfumes that are supposed to smell like fruits often end up too sweet or not natural at all. But this Eau de Toilette does reminds me exactly of grapefruits (maybe a bit sweeter). And it's not too strong either. But with most good stuff, there are down sides: I felt like the scent of the edt was gone very fast, so maybe it wouldn't have hurt if it was a bit stronger. But this doesn't stop me from loving it.

Please leave a comment if you have tried it, or any of the other Marc Jacobs Splashes.

Less is always more

I hear this all the time:
"Less is always more"
It is so true. I have thin, straight hair. Before, when I curled my hair, I sprayed it with a ton of hairspray, because I thought that would hold my curls, but my hair ended up straight after only one hour every single time. But when I started using the minimum amount needed to cover my entire hair, I could wake up the day after, and still have curly hair. Hair products weight down your hair. So I just wanted to say this to every person with thin hair: use styling product with moderation, if not, they aren't going to do much for your hair.

What I think about the Body Shop's body butters

I first discovered the Body Shop when I was 11. I had heard about it before, but never bought anything from it. That was actually what made me be interested in cosmetics.
The Body Shop are known for their body butters.

Currently, I have the passion fruit and the pink grapefruit body butters. I have had a few before, like melon, papaya, cranberry and brazil nut.

I didn't like the melon one, it wasn't creamy, I liked the scent, but I got tired of it quickly.
My grapefruit body butter isn't creamy either but the scent is great for summer.
The brazil nut body butter wasn't creamy at first, but it melted a bit, so it became creamier after a few weeks, and I think it's my favorite scent. I just love it!
The other ones were/are creamy, and smells wonderfully!

My favorites must be brazil nut (as I mentioned earlier), papaya and passion fruit.

Just one thing: If you don't have dry skin, don't take to much cream, because it can take a while for the skin to absorb it, more time than with most other creams.

So, if I was to grade them, they would get a 4.5/5 in general. They are all different, but I love them.

Have you tried any body butters? Did you like them/hate them? Please leave a comment!

L'Occitane's Peachy Soft Lip Blam

I found my new love about three weeks ago. This lip balm from L'Occitane has an addicting scent, at least in my opinion. It has a peachy, sweet scent. I recommend you go to a store to see if you like it, because it smells quite strongly, and as you know, scents are very personal. One of the things I like the most about it is, and this applies to lib balms in general, that it is like a moisturizing gloss. I just love it!
Usually I find lip glosses very drying, and that is annoying, as I think lip glosses are great if you're in a hurry, but want to wear at least some makeup. This lip balm is not my favorite if I only was considering softening my lips, I've tried other products that works better in that purpose, but this works very good that way too. I really like this product, well, I like L'Occitane over all. I really recommend, if one day you pass by their store or counter and have some extra time, you at least take a look at their products. They are not the cheapest you can get, but they are worth the money.

Avène soapless gel cleanser (for oily skin)

I have oily, yet sensitive skin. This is quite a problem, as most of the products for sensitive skin also is for very dry skin, which would give me even more black- and whiteheads, and most products for oily skin irritates my skin. But about one year ago, I found this Avène product, and it works! I've started to use it again, and I still love it.
It makes your skin look clearer after only one week (but don't get panicked if your pimples gets more red than usually the first couple of days, it only shows that the product is working), and it doesn't irritate your skin.

You can buy it on http://www.drugstore.com/prod.asp?pid=168139&catid=21222, and in somecountries you find it in normal drugstores.

Feel free to comment and share your opinions on this product!
